Recently, Ambassador Weert Börner paid an official visit to Politeknik Brunei and interacted with faculty and students. He was impressed by several presentations from sustainable architecture and various engineering skills via business and ICT education to healthcare training. Together with Acting Director Pengiran Dr. Saiful Duraman and leading faculty members, Ambassador Weert discussed how to promote collaboration between Politeknik Brunei and German institutions, especially how to strengthen bilateral cooperation in TVET (Technical & Vocational Education & Training) between Germany and Brunei Darussalam, including the involvement of German private companies for internships and job offers.

In its still young history, founded in 2008, Politeknik Brunei was already able to build up high quality standards of vocational training and to educate more than 7.200 graduates for taking over qualified jobs in various industries and sectors. Another most laudable aspect is the more than 50 % share of female staff at Politeknik Brunei.
