Brunei Darussalam celebrated the 80th birthday of His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah with an impressive parade in Bandar Seri Begawan’s city centre and with a special award ceremony and a festive luncheon in the Istana Nurul Iman, the Royal Palace. The birthday celebration went on with a grand Royal Dinner on 16th July, closed by gorgeous fireworks. German Ambassador Weert Börner and Dr. Imke Börner were amongst the invited guests.
